Below is some information regarding the parent dogs
of the two matings planned for spring:
Our female dog Koko is a special dog to us. This is
for the following reason:
Our kennel, "vom Haus Barrett," was founded
exactly 30 years ago. One of our breeding dams at the
time, named Cindy, always had a special trait that
we found quite amusing. Whenever she was excited, she
would search for an object, which she would then happily
carry around in her mouth without breaking it. It didn't
matter what the object was; the important thing was
having something in her mouththat was her thing.
Once her excitement had subsided, she would simply
drop the object. She passed this trait on to many of
her offspring. Sometimes, at the start of a walk, they
would excitedly take the leash in their mouths and
lead their owners around. We received similar feedback
time and again.
When "Dog Mom" first saw Koko as a puppy
a few years ago, this very characteristic immediately
caught her eye. Add to that her sweet face, short muzzle,
beautiful head, short ears, and lovely red-brown pigmentation.
Within minutes, "Dog Mom" was "in love".
She couldn't leave without Koko.
As expected, Koko has developed into a magnificent
dam. She proved this with her first litter in 2024.
Not only is she beautiful, but she is also very playful
and especially loves playing with her puppies. We posted
videos of her together with her first pups on facebook
at the beginning of 2024. Her first pups have have
developed very well. They are very alert, just like
our Koko. Pictures of Koko's first offspring can be
viewed here
In 2025, puppies from Koko and Champ's second
litter were born. Unfortunately, there were
only three, who have since grown into handsome young
dogs. Their owners particularly praise the temperament
of the offspring. They said that they are extremely
affectionate, but also very alert.
We plan to raise Koko and Champ puppies again in 2026.
If nature is with us, we expect another litter of these
beautiful parents in March 2026. As soon as the little
ones are born and it appears that mother and puppies
are doing well, we will announce the arrival of the
new puppies on this page.
The second litter we have planned this spring will
be with the same sire "Champ", the Mom will
be our young female "Jackie vom Haus-Barrett".
Before we introduce her, we would like to take this
opportunity to introduce the father of the two planned
litters.
For those who haven't yet had the pleasure of getting
to know our cuddly bear "Champ," we'd like
to explain Champ's qualities in more detail. For us,
he is the ideal German Shepherd.
A cuddly big bear at home and 100% focused on the training
field.
He is a unique dog. He is distinguished by his strong
bone structure, his extremely big head with a beautiful
dark mask, and his even temperament. He is friendly
to every two-legged or four-legged creature. He even
tolerates almost anything from puppies. He is a very
balanced and calm representative of his breed.
Watching him, you get the impression he thinks he's
a lapdoga big teddy bearhe's so incredibly
affectionate. But what makes him so special is the
fact that, despite this lapdog-like quality, he demonstrates
exceptional abilities on the training field, such as
in tracking, obedience, and protection work. For us,
he's an ideal family and working dog. This is exactly
what you imagine a German Shepherd to be!
Over the past five years, he has been bred with various
Barrett's females, and he has consistently passed on
his strong bone structure, pigmentation, and beautifully
defined head with a dark mask and of course his nice
and calm nature.
Below is a small selection of some of the Champ offspring,
such as
Bella-Champ,
Gwendi-Champ,
Enza-Champ
and Gwendi-Champ 2022
.
Years ago, we had the privilege of raising puppies
from Champ's father and Jackie's grandmother exceptionally
strong-boned and expressive
puppies, which had developed into beautiful
dogs. We are convinced that this pairing Jackie-Champ
is extremely harmonious, which is why we are already
eagerly anticipating this upcoming litter. We sincerely
hope that nature is on our side and that we will be
able to raise puppies from these wonderful parents
this spring.
Several years ago, we also raised beautiful puppies
from the mother of our Jackie, our Bacira, and our
Champ. Their offspring have developed into magnificent
Barretts. We
now expect the same from Bacira's daughter Jackie and
Champ, especially since the Tyson
line is also present in their line.
Now we like to introduce our Jackie:
With Jackie, we are already in the sixth generation
of the "mother-blood-line." She and her brother
Jango are exceptional animals, especially in terms
of their bloodline. United in this bloodline are our
"Cindy-Queeny-Orca" line and also our beloved
"Zaskia-Tyson-Gino" line. Jackie takes after
her mother, and her brother Jango after his father,
"Gino." It's fascinating to observe. They
are siblings, yet so different in temperament. Both
are extremely quick learners and completed everything
they needed to become a breeding animal for the first
time in just a few months of training. Jango is currently
being prepared for higher levels of schutzhund ; Jackie
is now being a Mom first before we continue with her
training.
We are eagerly awaiting this litter.
This page will be updated in the second half of March;
we hope to announce the arrival of new Barrett puppies
then.
